Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. O/N at hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll be picked up by an English-speaking guide for a full-day tour of the Kathmandu Valley, visiting three sacred sites: Swayambhunath ( Monkey Temple ), Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
- Swayambhunath, is located 4 km from the centre of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath is the best place to observe religious harmony between Nepalese Buddhists and Hindus. The stupa is one of the most ancient in this part of the world and its worshippers come from diverse ethical backgrounds. Situated on the top of a hill, it provides an excellent view of the Kathmandu Valley. Huge prayer wheels and fine Buddhist paintings are displayed in the monasteries as well as the largest Buddha statue in the country.
-Patan Durbar Square is situated at the centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of its attractions is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided.
- Bhaktapur is one of three ancient cities within the Kathmandu Valley. The city is also known as Bhadgaun, meaning the "city of devotees" and is the home of true medieval art and architecture in the valley. The city was founded in the 9th century and is shaped like a conch shell.
Early morning, pick up from your hotel and drive to Phaplu. It's a long drive up to Phaplu of around 10 hours, so you need to start early. After reaching Phaplu, stay in the local lodge available.
The drive from Kathmandu to Phaplu is a scenic journey through the beautiful landscapes of Nepal. Phaplu is a small town located in the Solu-Khumbu region, which is known for its stunning views of the Himalayas and as a gateway to the Everest region. The distance between Kathmandu and Phaplu is approximately 235 kilometres (146 miles).

After your early breakfast in Phaplu you will start your drive to Kharikhola whcih takes around 4 to 6 hours off-road drive.
Upon arrival in Kharikhola you will have some time to strech your body and will have a tea break. From this day it is your time to start your trek by your foot. Kharikhola village has a lot to explore so, in case of availability of enough time then you can explore the beautiful Monastery and Kharikhola School. Today it is not that long day trek since it your first day. You will gradually start your trek uphill to Panggom which takes around 3-4.5 hours. You will pass through Sherpa villages and dense forest.
Overnight: Hotel Panggom Inn
Following a hearty breakfast, you will depart Panggom to begin your journey. The trail's initial phase will cross the Panggom La Pass. Subsequently, you will climb steadily, follow the same route, and bear to the north. At this point, Peseng Kharka Khola will be crossed, leading to Peeng Kharka Danda. You will then arrive at Ningsow village after crossing Ningsow Khola. You will then continue to ascend and descend till you get to Ramailo Danda. From here, you can have an amazing view of Salpa and Mera Peak.

Trek from Ramailo Danda to Chhatra Khola (2,800m/9,184ft) (6 hours)
Today you’ll head towards Chhatra Khola. After walking for a while, you’ll enter Makalu Barun National Park. You’ll walk along the path named Pasang Lhamu Trail. The trail goes through some dense forests, so if you’re lucky enough, you’ll even spot some elusive red pandas.

You will begin traveling northward on the main trail to Mera Peak after leaving Chhatra Khola. Carry on strolling beside the Majang Khola. After that, the trail intersects with a different path that follows the Hinku Khola. You will then proceed to Tashing Onggma, which is home to a large number of artisan tea businesses. You will arrive in Kothe by crossing the Sanu Khola bridge in the final section.
Staying over night in Kothe.
You will hike today in the shadow of Mera Peak along the Hinku Khola's ridgeline. On the way, you'll pass by Gondishung, a summer herder community on the west bank of Hinku Drangka. You will then encounter a 200-year-old Lungsumbga Gompa. You can see the stunning rock within the gompa that has Mera Peak and its path written on it. Finally, after a brief stroll, you will reach Thaknak. An area used for summer grazing, it has a few historic lodges and stores.

Restday at Thagnag (4320m), O/N at camp/lodge
You will walk to Khare today, leaving Thaknak behind. To get to Dig Kharka, take the route that passes via the lateral moraine of Dig Glacier. You will be treated to the breathtaking view of Charpate Himal while traveling. You'll climb through moraines gradually, and the trail gets steeper after that. You will arrive in Khare after ascending a difficult slope for a few hours. Enjoy the breathtaking vista of Mera Peak's north face. You can take a hike and investigate the area.

You will receive acclimatization and foundational climbing instruction today in order to get ready for the Mera Peak Expedition via Phaplu. Some fundamental climbing methods will be taught to you by your climbing guide. Leaving Thuli Kharka, we indeed cross the Zatrwa La pass (4,600m). In around 2 hours, we arrive at the pass. The view is mind-boggling, and we can see part of the path that we crossed. Hinku Valley, Numbur Himal, Kongde, Dudh Kunda, and Khumbila look astounding. We stroll to Lukla, taking a descending path.
