Flying into Kathmandu, you'll have views over the valley, the Himalayas, and the terraced fields below. After completing customs, a representative will be waiting to greet you outside the airport and guide you through the initial culture shock of Kathmandu’s narrow, winding streets to your hotel.
After you've settled in, go explore one of Kathmandu's cultural attractions.
This morning after breakfast, you'll head to the domestic airport in Kathmandu, where you will board your plane for the short flight to the Terai region and Chitwan National Park.
The name ‘Terai’ refers to the extensive plains in the southern part of Nepal – this area is the most northern extension of the great Gangetic plains of India, land that was won and lost in decades of struggle, and shares both Indian and Nepali characteristics and culture.
From the airport, it's a one-hour drive to your jungle lodge. Spread over 30 acres, the Barahi Jungle Lodge offers 35 deluxe boutique guest rooms, built as individual and two-in-one private villas. The works of Tharu artisans adorn all of the spacious rooms, each with its own private balcony overlooking the Chitwan canopy and the Rapti River.
Upon your arrival at the hotel, you will have some time to refresh yourself and then we will start the half-day sightseeing tour.
-explore tharu village
-Crocodile breeding centre
- Cultural evening
Roughly Pokhara is only 86km far from Sauraha Chitwan by distance, but due to the hilly road conditions, it will take more time than you expected. Travel time is about 4 to 5 hours. However, it is worth noting that the view is simply breathtaking and you get to experience the roads of Nepal and drive around the mountain area for a scenic view.
Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel. You will be greeted by the hotel representative and will be provided with a welcome briefing by the hotel manager. After that, take your time for self-refreshment or take a rest in the meantime. In the afternoon, you'll have a guided tour of cultural sites, a Lake sidewalk or an evening boat tour starting and ending at your hotel, visiting the main sights in the Pokhara Valley.
Tal Barahi Temple
Your guide will then pick you up for a sightseeing tour in Pokhara Valley. The itinerary includes visits to Phewa Lake, along with a one-hour boat ride and a trip to Tal Barahi Temple, located in the middle of the lake. After your sightseeing tour, in the evening, you will be driven back to your hotel.
